Client Appreciation Event

On Wednesday, November 8th, STgenetics® Canada held a Client Appreciation Evening at the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre. Along with the launch of Farmfit®, the newest technology in animal welfare, the evening included the first ever STgenetics® Canada Genomics Awards Presentation, dinner and social. 

 “STgenetics® is committed to making the world greener, more sustainable and profitable with our Integrated Approach to improving herd genetics through science and technology,” says Natalia Rodrigues, Director of STgenetics® Canada. “An exciting evening like tonight where we launch technologies like Farmfit® and recognize the genetic advancements our Canadian dairy farmers make through our Vision+™ program emphasize that commitment to our customers.” 

The STgenetics® Canada awards ceremony celebrated the top-ranking Holstein females genotyped with Vision+™. Genomic testing with Vision+™ provides a greater degree of accuracy for next generation, generating higher profits and providing the most accurate information to breed the kind of cows Canadian dairy farmers want to milk and develop for their future herd. 

The following winners were named in each of the six categories:  

The Best EcoFeed®heifer Index:  Wisselview Dixrebel Discover bred by Wisselview Farms, Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. 

The Best EcoFeed®cow Index: Tranquillity 9076 bred by Tranquillity Agriculture Inc., Browsburg-Chatham, Quebec.  

The Best TPI Index: Cedarwal Holysmokes Thumbelina bred by Master Breeder Cedarwal Farms, Abbottsford, British Columbia. 

‌The Best Conformation Index: Wilvoc Breakshot Legacy by BREAKSHOT P bred by Ferme Wilvoc, Plaisance, Quebec. 

The Best Butterfat Index: Fabel Emmanuelle Captain by CAPTAIN bred by Ferme Fabel, Grand St. Esprit, Quebec. 

‌The Top Contributor Herd: Compass Dairy Farms, Mount Elgin, Ontario.
